Prey guide: ‘This Side Up’ and ‘Doctor Igwe’ walkthroughs
Your hasty exit at the end of “Restore from Backup” leaves you floating in the Talos 1 exterior. Unfortunately, your brother has locked down the station’s airlocks, so you’re going to have to find another way in.
A quick note: We’re going to do two objectives at once here: “This Side Up” and “Doctor Igwe” (which you’ll get in a minute). You don’t have to do it this way, but it’s convenient because the two objectives require the same steps. If all goes well, you won’t even notice you’re doing two things at once.
Get to the Cargo Bay
Push the button next to the door you came through to escape from your impromptu escape pod. Once out, you’ll get a call from Sarah Elazar down in the cargo bay.
Head down and to the “right” (for lack of a better description) side of the station. Just keep an eye on your HUD to make sure you’re pointed the right way. Watch for cystoids and their nests on your way.
Float inside, and you’ll get another call from Sarah. She’ll tell you about your alternate way in — dock a cargo container.
Doctor Igwe
When you get close to the cargo bay, you may notice a cargo container floating by itself a little ways out from the station. If you get close enough, you’ll get a call from its occupant, Doctor Igwe. His needs and yours align quite nicely here.
If you haven’t heard from him yet, just float straight out from the cargo bay, and you’ll bump into his container.
When you talk to him, a countdown will start. It feels a lot shorter than it is. You’ve got lots of time to do what you need to do here. All you really need to note is the number on the side of his container — 2312.
Dock a cargo container / Dock Dr. Igwe’s Container
The container controls are on a computer on the right side of the room, about halfway up the wall. All you have to do here is enter the four-digit code for a container, everything after is automated. The container you chose will fly itself into a docking bay.
Conveniently, you know the number of a container and someone that needs to get back to the station. Enter 2312 into the computer to dock Dr. Igwe’s container.
Open and enter the docked container
Once he’s safe, you can use the computer to open the container (or you can wait and he’ll give you the code). Float over to it and enter the cargo bay to complete this objective.
You’ll have to seek out Doctor Igwe to wrap up his optional objective. We’ll cover that in the next section, “Shipping and Receiving.”
