Managing your inventory in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a bit of a mixed bag. Some of your stashes are unlimited, like your materials and outfits. Your meal stash, on the other hand, is finite and can’t be expanded. Your other three stashes — your weapons, bows and shields — can be expanded with a little work and some help from Hestu.

But what if you want to store some of your inventory outside of your pockets? There is a way in Breath of the Wild to store three weapons, three shields and three bows.

Hylian Homeowner

The first step to do this is to complete the “Hylian Homeowner” side quest in Hateno Village. Once your new home is completely upgraded, you’ll find nine mounts in the dining room.

When you walk up to these mounts, you can choose to display the weapon, shield or bow you currently have equipped. These items will stay here indefinitely. You can swap them out as much as you like and return here whenever you want to retrieve one.
